HI, I am a mum to a 3 year old but still consider myself a “new” mum. The learning never ends. My partner and I are now the proud owners of a new 2010 model called Sean.
Before I had baby two I had returned to work part time which as working mums know has its pros and cons. I love being my own person away from my baby but I miss her so much and feel guilty for leaving her. Yet she has so much fun at daycare and experiences and learns different things she would at home. I could go and on.
I’m the kind of mum who collects competition coupons, loves to be on organising committees and spends way too much time of face book. I love being busy and since becoming a mum have forgotten how to just stop and sit down for five minutes. Any spare time is pounced upon as an opportunity to cross something else off the never ending list of things to do.
I have just signed up to be coordinator for our playgroup this year. We have two groups – morning and afternoon which total about 20 people all up so I’m going to be quite busy!
As far as parenting goes I read the books and am a regular on parenting forums online but in the end I’ve realised its how my partner and I decide to do things that works best and causes the least stress for everyone.
That said, everything is on hold for awhile with the new baby taking up so much of my time, right now its all about milk, sleep and managing a toddler at the same time.
I love to share parenting tips, relationship tips, the latest sales, gossip and “how to” which depending on the recipient is either annoying or endearing: D
